Boot cuffs and cowls are a popular thing this season. I’ve made and sold several of them so far. Boot cuffs are a great stash buster and a pair can be completed while watching a movie.
Make a few to go with every outfit in your color. Have fun and play with the colors I always say.
Now on to the pattern.
Supplies:
- Red Heart Worsted Weight Yarn or your favorite yarn
- I (5.5mm) hook
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
st – stitch
sc – single crochet
yo – yarn over
blo – back loop only
flo – front loop only
ps – puff stitch
Notes:
- Worked in rows and joined when finished
- Puff Stitch – yo, insert hook in st, yo pull up a loop, (yo, insert hook in same st, yo and pull up a loop) 3X’s, yo pull through all 7 loops on hook
Size: Medium (13”-14”) – Finished length 12 X 4 1/2
Instructions:
MAKE 2
Row 1: Ch44, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each sc to end, turn. (43)
Row 2: Ch1, *sc in 1st 3 chs or stitches when repeating, ps in next st, repeat from * to end, turn. (33sc, 10ps)
Row 3: Ch1, sc in each st to end, turn. (43)
Row 4: Repeat Row 2
Row 5: Repeat Row 3
Row 6: Repeat Row 2
Row 7: Repeat Row 3
Row 8: Repeat Row 2
Row 9-10: BLO Repeat Row 3
Row 11-12: FLO Repeat Row 3
Row 13-14: Repeat Row 9-10
Row 15-16: Repeat Row 11-12
Row 17: Through both loops, ch1, sc in each st to end.
Leave a long tail, weave ends and finish off.
With wrong sides together seam short edges and weave ends.
Turn inside out and you are ready to go with your new Knotty Knot Boot Cuffs.

In Row 2, is that saying to sc in the first 3 sc? It ch but i’m not seeing where the ch could be. Also, the ‘ps’ listed actually the ‘PF’?

Yes sc in the 1st 3 stitches. I was talking about the chains in row 1. When repeating it will be stitches used and not chains as long as you sc in the first 3 stitches. I will fix and thanks and I hope this makes sense.
